Our modern, but cozy, waterfront cottage is located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, halfway between Onancock and Cape Charles.  The cottage is equipped with a full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and laundry room.  The bedroom has 2 twin XL beds with 1,200 thread count Egyptian sheets that comfortably sleeps two adults.  The cottage is tastefully decorated with coastal decor, and has an herb garden.  Your stay, depending on the season, includes the use of our dock, 2 kayaks, a two-person canoe, hammock and our salt water swimming pool.  PLEASE NOTE:  Adults only.  No smokers, children or pets.

If you are wanting to unplug from your electronic devices, you’re in a great place to do so, but we have free satellite wifi if you need to stay connected.  Bring your own food and prepare your own meals.  Venture out to Eastern Shore villages and towns to sample local restaurants, shop for antiques and collectibles or artisan gifts.  Visit local attractions or beaches.  You are surrounded by many birding hotspots that are accessible to the public.  We are here to offer you tourism advice. 

We are a birding paradise year round with bald eagles, herons, owls, osprey, shorebirds, passerines, including breeding birds and migrants.  We strive to grow native host plants for butterflies, like the now endangered Monarch butterfly, and other pollinators, which in turn attracts more birds to the property.  We are oyster gardeners for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and are happy to show you live oysters we are “fostering” to be used for ecological restoration work in the Virginia barrier islands.
